MaaC – Mobility as a Commodity (or „everything for free?“)

Everything for free? Today I read an interesting article about mobility becoming a commodity that anybody can use more or less for free, while profits will be generated through advertisements.

Lets think further… I believe there are 2 categories of things: stuff we need (water, food, love, …) and bullshit (cigarettes, TV, racism…). And some of them can be produced by industry while some can only be created by you and me. And I believe that because of 3D printing and digitalization, bullshit will be pretty abundant.

If that is true, 3 scenarios:

A: everything we need is for free but we have to watch ads. These ads tell us to buy bullshit.

B: all bullshit is for free but we have to watch ads. These ads tell us where to buy things we really need.

C: everything is for free but we have to watch ads. These ads ask us to engage in the production of goods and to share stuff that can’t be „produced“ – like our engagement, help, ideas, body parts?, love, friendship, attention, time…

A won’t work.
B will come.
C would be heaven or am I reinventing communism here?
